I’m a writer, journalist and native New Yorker living in Astoria, Queens.

No, I’m not from Queens originally — I was raised in the Riverdale section of The Bronx, which many people refer to as “not the real Bronx.”

After receiving a Bachelor’s degree from The New School and spending a year working various customer service jobs (none of which I’d like to discuss in any further detail), I attended the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. In December of 2011, I graduated with a Master of Arts degree.

I’m currently the staff reporter for The Local, a hyperlocal blog which covers the neighborhoods of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill in Brooklyn. The Local is run by the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in collaboration with The New York Times.

A few other places where my work has appeared: The Huffington Post, Time Out New York, SPIN, The Brooklyn Paper, Brooklyn Based and (when I was younger) a series of marble notebooks.
